PM Modi Condemns Israeli Strikes on Qatar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned Israeli military strikes in Doha, Qatar, during a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani on Wednesday. The Indian leader expressed deep concern over the attacks and emphasized the need for peaceful resolution of conflicts through diplomatic channels.

India Stands Against Sovereignty Violations

“Spoke with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and expressed deep concern at the attacks in Doha. India condemns the violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Qatar,” Modi stated in a post on social media platform X. The Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s commitment to regional stability, declaring that “India stands firmly in support of peace and stability in the region, and against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

The Israeli strikes targeted a neighborhood in Doha housing foreign embassies and educational institutions, resulting in six casualties. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took full responsibility for the operation, stating that “Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”

Qatar Denounces International Law Violations

Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari condemned the strike as a “flagrant violation of all international laws and norms.” The attack specifically targeted Hamas’ political headquarters, killing five Hamas members, including the son of exiled Gaza chief and chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya.

Modi’s intervention highlights India’s diplomatic approach to Middle Eastern conflicts, emphasizing dialogue over military action. The Prime Minister urged all parties to avoid escalation and work toward peaceful solutions through established diplomatic channels.

This incident underscores growing international tensions in the region and India’s role as a mediator advocating for peaceful conflict resolution and respect for national sovereignty.
