Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences to the victims’ families and also wished those injured a speedy recovery in the horrific triple train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, in which at least 290 people died, and over 900 passengers were injured.

Earlier, Pakistan’s foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, sympathised with the families of those killed in the unfortunate incident.

“I was heartbroken to learn of the high death toll in the tragic train accident in Odisha, India.” Our hearts go out to the victims’ families. “Wishing the injured (sic) a speedy recovery,” Bhutto tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Taliban’s Ministry of foreign affairs in Afghanistan expressed condolences to the slain families.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is saddened by the train collision in eastern Odisha state of the Republic of India, which has left hundreds dead and injured.” “The MoFa expresses condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and the injured,” the ministry stated.
