If there is no ID proof, NO Voting ! Popular Lok Gayak of Gujarat Kirtindan Gadhvi set to vote for more than half an hour. The great example set by the election board by keeping the rules the same for all in Gujarat.

Kirtidan Gadhvi was not allowed to vote.

Madhapar Taluka Kirtidan Gadhvi:

The presiding officer stopped him from voting as he did not have a hard copy of his Aadhaar card. Kirtidan Gadhvi argued that he had a digital copy of the Aadhaar card. After that, he signed the xerox copy and presented it to the Election Officer as he did not have the original document. After that, he voted at Madhapar Taluka School.

Kirtidan Gadhvi to Media:

He told the media that Indian Prime Minister Modi keeps talking about Digital India regularly, but Digital India is not implemented in the voting process itself. I have been waiting here for 45 minutes to vote. I don’t have an Aadhaar card hard copy, but I have digital copy. The on-duty employees in the electoral system are preventing me from Voting because I don’t have an Aadhaar card in hard copy. Then how will India become a digital country?

He further said that I also appeal to these officials to convey to Modisaheb that if this continues, the campaign of Digital India will never succeed in India. If a celebrity like me has to wait so long, Voting cannot be done this way.

Election Commission of that Booth:

The rules have been kept the same for everyone, whether a celebrity or a common citizen. If he does not carry an ID proof or follow the code of conduct announced by the Election Commission for Voting, he doesn’t have the right to vote.
