Ram Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust likely to
conduct the Bhoomi pujan of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, in August and formally
invited PM Modi.
On Sunday, Ram
Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust set the ball rolling for the much-awaited
construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya and sent a formal invite to Prime
Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation of the temple. The Trust
is hopeful of PM Modi making it to the ground-breaking ceremony
(Bhoomi poojan) and has proposed August 5 as the possible date for it to the
PMO, said sources. Kameshwar Chaupal, one of the members of the Trust, claimed
that the Prime Minister has given his nod to lay the foundation of the temple.
Auspicious dates for the Bhoomi
Pujan is 3rd or 5th August:
In the meeting, the Trust figured the best dates for “Bhoomi Pujan” based on planetary configurations and reached a consensus for dates August 3 and August 5. The meeting also decided to scale up the size of the Ram Mandir and also in attendance was Nripendra Misra, who is PM Modi’s former principal secretary and chairman of the temple construction committee.
PMO’s office to take the final
call about the date, says Trust’s General Secretary:
General Secretary of the Trust,
Champat Rai, said it would launch a nationwide campaign to mobilize 10 crore
families after the monsoon to crowd-fund the monumental Temple, which
symbolizes the ‘core of Hindu faith’. Rai confirmed the decision to invite PM
Modi and said,” The Prime Minister’s Office will make the final call about the
date”.
Proposals to increase the
temple’s height and the number of domes are discussed:
As per the Trust, It will take
3 to three and half years to complete the temple post the ground map is
finalized and PM Modi’s presence at the Bhoomi Pujan will give a great message
to Hindus across the country. Proposals of increasing the temple’s height from
128 feet to 161 feet and increasing the number of domes from 3 to 5 are being
discussed and thought-upon.
