Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s epic sparks strong pre-release momentum ahead of November debut.

The much-anticipated Ramayana: Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has already set the stage for a grand theatrical run by crossing the ₹20-crore mark in worldwide bookings. Eleven days before its official release on November 5, the film has generated approximately ₹20.50 crore in advance gross, with over 2.25 lakh tickets sold across India and international markets. This early surge underscores the scale of anticipation surrounding the mythological epic.

The advance sales include both preview screenings scheduled for November 4 and opening-day reservations for November 5. North America has emerged as a key overseas contributor, with preview shows alone accounting for more than $550,000 in ticket sales. India remains the largest single market, contributing over $1.20 million, while the United Kingdom, Australia, and several European territories are adding to the global tally. Together, these figures push the combined worldwide advance gross past $2.15 million, highlighting the film’s broad international appeal.

For large-scale Indian productions, preview screenings often serve as a litmus test for audience interest, offering fans an early glimpse before the wider release. The strong response to Ramayana’s previews suggests that the film is poised to attract significant footfall once it opens across theatres. With more cinema schedules expected in the coming days, bookings are likely to climb further, making the pace of fresh reservations crucial to its final pre-release benchmark.

Industry observers note that while crossing ₹20 crore in advance sales is an encouraging milestone, it should not be mistaken for opening-day collections. The eventual box-office performance will depend on factors such as domestic demand, overseas expansion, premium-format screenings, and the number of shows allocated closer to release. Sustaining momentum across markets will be key to converting early interest into record-setting numbers.

Produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part 1 brings together a star-studded ensemble: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Mounted on an expansive scale, the film aims to deliver a cinematic retelling of the revered Indian epic, blending talent from multiple industries.

With preview screenings on November 4 and a global release on November 5, all eyes are on whether Ramayana’s advance buzz will translate into one of the year’s biggest openings.
