Ravi Tandon, Raveena Tandon’s father, has died

Ravi Tandon, the father of actress Raveena Tandon and a famous film director/producer in the Indian film industry, has died.

He directed several successful films, the most well-known of which are Khel Khel Mein, Anhonee, Nazrana, Majboor, Khud-daar, and Zindagi. However, the specifics of the patient’s health conditions and the cause of death have yet to be revealed.

Raveen Tandon announced the news on her official social media accounts. Raveen Tandon took to Instagram to share a series of throwback photos with her father. Raveena wrote in her post about sharing the images. You will always walk beside me, I will always be you, also I will never let you go. I adore you, papa.”

Many celebrities and Raveena’s industry friends expressed their condolences and prayers in the comments section of her post.

  1. Anhonee (1973): Ravi Tandon made his directorial debut with this fascinating murder mystery starring Sanjeev Kumar as a mentally unstable man. But wait, there was a delicious twist in the story that I recommend you try if you haven’t already. Sanjeev Kumar accompanied the lovely Leena Chandavarkar. Who was seducing him with Lata Mangeshkar’s super hit song ‘Buddhu Pad Gaya Palley. Two years later, the hit Sanjeev-Leena duo returned in Ravi Tandon’s comedy Apne Rang Hazaar. That was also a big hit.
  2. Zindagi (1976): This Ravi Tandon directorial is widely regard as a forerunner to the Amitabh Bachchan-Hema Malini autumnal drama Bhagwan. Sanjeev Kumar and Mala Sinha play a couple whose children separate because they can only afford to care for one parent per home. Ravi Tandon has never had to deal with a situation like this in his real life, which is heartbreaking. Raveena’s parents were inseparable until his death.
  3. Majboor (1974): Majboor, loosely adapted by superstar-writer Salim-Javed from the Charles Bronson thriller Cold Sweat (directed by Terence Young), is Bachchan Saab’s most underrated film, in my opinion. He plays Vijay, who devises a sinister plan to provide for his family after being diagnose with a brain tumor.
