Oceangate, the firm that owned the Titan submersible that exploded on June 18, killing all five passengers, has erased its website and social media accounts.

The company’s website and expedition pages now state that it has “suspended all exploration and commercial operations,” and its social media handles have vanished from the internet.

OceanGate is under the scan:

This happened just days after the firm stopped its exploratory missions. On July 7, the company’s official website said at the top, “OceanGate has suspended all exploration and commercial operations.”

The US-based firm has been scrutinised, particularly when emails and texts between experts and OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush – one of the five people onboard – went public, disclosing that the CEO ignored several warnings that the submersible was unsafe.

The Titan Tragedy:

The Titan submersible went missing on June 18, just two hours after it began its journey to look at the remains of the legendary Titanic ship, which fell in 1912.

The US Coast Guard reported that the submersible collapsed days later, and its debris was found in the deep water. Authorities retrieved “presumed human remains” from the Titan wreckage as well.

Onboard the Titan submarine were five people: British billionaire businessman Hamish Harding, a British father and son Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, with roots in Pakistan as one of the country’s wealthiest families, OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, and veteran French navy diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet.
