Realme Watch 3 Pro review: Is Realme is latest sub-Rs 5,000 wearable worth the money?

Realme Watch 3 Pro review: A feature-rich smartwatch for less than Rs 5,000; Learn more in our review below.

When the Realme Watch 3 debuted earlier this year, its standout feature was Bluetooth Calling. Realme now offers the Watch 3 Pro. That’s right, even smartwatches now come in a ‘Pro’ version. The Realme Watch 3 Pro has an AMOLED screen and built-in GPS, among other changes, but it is also more expensive at Rs 4,999. Is it really worth that much money? Find out in my in-depth review below.

What’s the deal with the Realme Watch 3 Pro?

The Realme Watch 3 Pro has a fantastic 1.78-inch AMOLED display that produces sharper colours and deeper blacks than most TFT-display smartwatches. This allows you to enjoy black also other darker watch faces as they should be seen. As well as giving the watch a more refined appearance when the screen is turned off. When the screen is turned on, you can enjoy the many attractive watch faces available here. Some of which are animated and look really cool.

Of course, the AMOLED screen supports AoD, or Always On Display. You can now enable it in analogue or digital mode, both of which look fantastic. However, you are limited to only these 2 styles and receive no customization other than the ability to schedule it throughout the day.

The watch’s wear detection also needs improvement, as I noticed the Always On Display turning on when I placed the watch on a table and a polyester sheet, despite the settings allowing it to turn on only when worn. However, this could be remedied with an update.

Other features, such as fitness tracking

The Realme Watch 3 Pro made it easy to track my heart rate and steps throughout the day, and the results were fairly accurate. This cannot be said for the sleep tracking features, which were inconsistent at best.

The watch also supports 24-hour heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, which is an excellent feature at this price. Users will be able to ready the watch to take heart-rate readings every 5, 10, or 20 minutes. And it will also alert users if the readings fall below or rise above a certain threshold.
