According to a regulatory filing, Reliance Industries (RIL) seeks to make an integrated fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm with strategies to enter nearly every product type and an equal emphasis on backend sourcing.

Newly floated FMCG flagship Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL) said it plans to enter the complete spectrum of domestic, household and customer goods such as medicines, food products and beverages, agri- and non-agricultural vegetables, commodities, educational, natural, processed and commercial products. The filing was created for the Registrar of Companies.

The firm even said it would have an entire play in backend sourcing by entering into all agricultural and allied activities, such as growing crops and plantations.

Reliance Consumer Products even said it would enter dairy, agro-based goods, animal husbandry, etc.

RCPL has selected four managers for its board. They have to hold firm Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd managing leader V Subramaniam; T Krishnakumar, who joined the company from Coca-Cola in 2021; US-based surveillance academician Dipak C Jain and EMA Partners India managing chief K Sudarshan. The firm is yet to elect a managing director.
