Reliance Jio Announces Mobile Service Rate Hike

Reliance Jio announced on Thursday that it will increase its mobile service rates starting July 3. This marks the company’s first rate hike in about two and a half years.

New Pricing Details of Reliance Jio:

  • 1 GB Data Add-On Pack: The price of the lowest recharge pack is being raised from ₹15 to ₹19, reflecting a 27% increase.
  • 75 GB Postpaid Data Plan: The cost will rise from ₹399 to ₹449.
  • Popular ₹666 Unlimited Plan: This plan with 84-day validity will now cost ₹799, an increase of about 20%.

Commitment to Affordable Quality Service by Reliance Jio:

Despite the price hike, Jio emphasized its commitment to providing the best quality service at globally affordable prices.

The company highlighted its rapid 5G rollout, stating that nearly 85% of India’s operational 5G cells are by Jio, which operates the country’s only Stand-Alone True 5G network. Jio continues offering unlimited 5G data on its leading plans at no additional cost to its users.

Akash Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, stated that the new plans aim to foster industry innovation and drive sustainable growth through investments in 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

He reiterated Jio’s commitment to contributing to Digital India’s vision by providing high-quality, affordable internet.
