With this achievement, Rohit joins an exclusive global club of just seven players — Sanath Jayasuriya, Chris Gayle, David Warner, Graeme Smith, Desmond Haynes, and his compatriot Virender Sehwag — to have reached 16,000 runs as an opener across all formats.
