Salman Khan Reveals School Expulsion Over Unpaid Fees

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently opened up about a difficult childhood memory during his appearance on the talk show “Two Much” with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna. The actor revealed that he was expelled from school in fourth grade due to his family’s inability to pay fees on time, sharing this personal story alongside fellow actor Aamir Khan.

The Incident That Led to Expulsion

Khan recalled being punished outside his classroom when his father, renowned screenwriter Salim Khan, arrived to inquire about the situation. The school teacher’s response was particularly harsh: “No Mr Khan, it is not his fault, it’s your fault. Your fees, which you were supposed to pay, are not on time, so we kept him outside.” When Salim Khan suggested he should be the one standing outside instead of his young son, the teacher remained unmoved.

The situation escalated when Salman was involved in an unfortunate accident where a friend tripped over his leg and chipped his teeth. School authorities misinterpreted this as deliberate misconduct, adding to Salman’s troubles.

Financial Struggles and Final Expulsion

Despite Salim Khan’s efforts to resolve the fee payment issue by speaking with the principal and arranging the money, another incident occurred just two weeks later. This second occurrence proved to be the final straw, leading to Salman’s permanent expulsion from the school.

The revelation highlights the financial challenges faced by the Khan family during Salman’s early childhood, long before he became one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Interestingly, Aamir Khan, who appeared alongside Salman on the show, confirmed that his family had also struggled with fee payments during their school years, showing that even future superstars faced ordinary financial hardships.
