Sara Ali Khan claims David Dhawan were angry at Varun but vented her.

1.  The original Coolie No 1, which featured Govinda in the lead role, alongside Karisma Kapoor, was also directed by David.

Actor Sara Ali Khan, who will be seen next in the Coolie No one remake opposite Varun Dhawan, claimed Varun is to blame for an accident on the set of the film, which had seen director David Dhawan losing his coolness to her. 

The original Coolie No 1, which featured Govinda in the lead role, alongside Karisma Kapoor, was also directed by David.

Sara during Virtual trailer launch:

Sara said during the recent virtual trailer launch event of the movie, “We were shooting Main Toh Raste Se when David Sir got upset with me and yelled at me because I was supposed to tag something else on my costume, even though I was ready for my shot, and that took time.”

She added, “He (Varun) was doing some costume business in the van, as well as as it delayed the shoot. David’s sir got quite angry at him.” So he was mad at Varun, essentially, but he ventilated on me. 

That’s been a bit of a problem, but it’s all fine.

Sara in an Interview with PTI: 

In an interview, Sara told PTI that she is not worried about getting less screen time in her films since collaborating with those artists is a privilege. 

When you are working with people like Ranveer as well as Varun, to make such comparisons, aapki aukat nahin hoti (you are not in such a position), you’re also happy that you’re associated with people like Rohit, David Sir, Ranveer, and Varun. You really don’t want these things to be compared,’ she stated.

Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Johnny Lever are also stars of the new Coolie No 1. Sara was seen in the Love Aaj Kal remake of Imtiaz Ali, and will soon be seen in Atrangi Re. Street Dancer 3D was Varun’s last film. On December 25, Coolie No 1 is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video.
