Saraswat Brahmin Dr. Gautam Joshi provides Ayodhya Ram Mandir Muhurat Proceedings

Saraswat Brahmin Dr. Gautam Joshi gives the mahurat time for pran pratishtha at the much-awaited Ayodhya Ram Mandir this month.

On January 22nd 2024, the temple’s presiding deity, Swami Govindadevgiriji, will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum, marking the completion of the magnificent new Ram Mandir. The auspicious timing for the ritual has been provided by a leading Hindu scholar and priest.

The honor of deciding the muhurta for the pran pratishtha of the breathtaking temple was given to Kutchi Saraswat Brahmin Dr. Gautam Joshi, who is a highly revered Saraswat Brahmin priest and scholar living in Mumbai. He has many impressive achievements under his belt, including topping his class in the Acharya examinations and MA philosophy. By the time he turned 60, Dr Joshi had provided mahurats for over 350 temples and 300 major Hindu rituals across India.

When asked recently about the Ayodhya Ram mandir mahurat, he humbly stated that he is hoping Lord Ram will bless the timing he has chosen. “As per Hindu scriptures, carrying out sacred rituals during astrologically auspicious timings can maximize their chances of success. The positioning of the planets and stars is analyze while finalizing shubh muhurats,” informs Dr. Joshi.

In the case of the long-awaited Ayodhya Ram Temple, the timing carries even greater significance. Hundreds of millions have eagerly waited for centuries for a grand temple to come up in Lord Ram’s birthplace. The organizers do not wish to leave anything to chance for the defining moment.

In the lead up to the pran pratishtha date, the temple trust and organizers have made special arrangements to maintain secrecy around the final muhurat. This is because they wish to reveal it to devout Hindus before publicly announcing it.

Dr Joshi provided some hints, however. He said that between January 18 and 22, he will have a divine dialogue with Lord Sri Ram to prepare for the grand ceremony, possibly via his spiritual meditations. Over the 5 days, he will also share exclusive details with key Hindu religious groups.

As the auspicious installation timing arrives for Shri Ram Mandir, it promises to be a historic moment in the civilizational journey of Hindus that will be etche in memory for generations. From out of the ruins of past destruction, devotees hope the new grand temple in Ayodhya will stand tall for another thousand years – as an enduring symbol of cultural renaissance.
