Scorching heat hits Gujarat early

Gujarat weather: According to Ramashray Yadav, a weather official at the Ahmedabad Center of the Meteorological Department, the province’s climate will stay dry, and there are no chances of significant temperature shift.

The onset of scorching heat in Gujarat has arrived earlier than usual, with nine cities recording temperatures above 36 degrees Celsius in March. Gandhinagar emerged as the hottest city, reaching 40.2 degrees Celsius. 

However, Ahmedabad experienced slightly lower temperatures, disappointing city residents. Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for the next five days in Gujarat.

Dry Weather Continues

Ramashray Yadav, a weather scientist at the Ahmedabad Center of the Meteorological Department, predicts that the state will continue to experience dry weather, with no significant changes in temperature expected.

Forecast for March 30 to April 3

The Meteorological Department forecasts a general decrease in temperatures across Gujarat from March 30 to April 3. While Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, Gandhinagar reached 40.2 degrees Celsius. 

The maximum temperatures in both cities are expected to hover around 39 degrees Celsius in the coming days.

Heat Wave Warning

Meteorologist Paresh Goswami warns of intensified heat in the first fortnight of April, potentially leading to conditions akin to a curfew. 

He advises residents to prepare for high temperatures and emphasizes the importance of caring for both humans and animals during this period.

As the heat wave intensifies, it’s crucial for residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their pets.
