Small quarrels between neighbours turned to murder in Thane; fought over slippers near the door

While conflicts with neighbours are not unusual, getting killed over the same indeed is. In Maharashtra’s Thane, a couple has been charged with the killing of their neighbour over a petty issue of putting slippers close to the door.

Couple kills neighbours in Naya Nagar, Thane: 

According to the cops, the couple allegedly murdered their neighbour over opposition to putting slippers near the door.

The pair and victim fought, usually accusing one another of placing slippers near each other’s door. One such argument led to punches on Saturday night, Naya Nagar police station in-charge Jilani Sayed was cited as saying by the news agency PTI.

The victim, identified as Afsar Khatri, died of injuries sustained in the fight, police said.

The woman had been charged while her husband escaped the scene, the police officer said, adding that they had been accused of murder.
