At a starting price point of ~ 6.71 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India, introductory), Kia Sonet was officially launched in India. Sonet is entering a tight but lucrative subcompact SUV space and is looking to build the same degree of success that Seltos-the debut product Kia enjoyed in India. And some more then.

Half the fight won in an SUV segment is good looks, many say. And Kia designers have seemed to have worked overtime to give Sonet a striking face and overall aesthetic impact in this regard. 

Sonet GTX+ is particularly impressive to look at the courtesy of its sporty red highlights, and there is little wonder that in the pre-launch bookings process this particular trim has reportedly received the most publicity.

Highlight 2-

Sonet’s lined up to the max when it comes to functionality. The Indian car buying audience is still searching for more and more features, and Kia’s pulse on this buying aspect seems to be on. 

This is a testament to something as necessary as and yet crucial as a cooled phone charging room. Add features such as ventilated front seats and air purification the system, and in Indian situations, Sonet makes a strong case.

Auto transmission, want to? Sure. Yes, sure. Want the excitement of a handbook? Sure. Of course. Are you looking for the best of both worlds? Sonet’s got it. Though Hyundai Venue beats Sonet first by offering clutch-less transmission option, this feature is excellent for Sonet too.
