SSC board student from Bandra writes her paper in an ambulance

On Monday, a Class 10 pupil from Bandra wrote her second exam for the board in an ambulance.

After finishing her science 1 exam on Friday, Mubashira Sadique Sayyed, a pupil of Anjuman-I-Islam school, Bandra, was walking on the road when a vehicle hit her at about 1.30 pm near St. Joseph’s Convent, Hill Road. She suffered severe injuries to her left leg and had to undergo an operation on the same day.

“The incident occurred around her examination centre, St. Stanislaus High School. We phoned the school principal, and they rushed her to a nearby clinic,” Sandeep Karmale, custodian of the exam centre, stated.

Saba Patel, principal of Anjuman-I-Islam’s Dr MIJ Girl’s High School, told they spoke with Mubashira and her relatives at the hospital. “As she is a brilliant student, all the teachers hoped she would come for the remaining exams. We then began the formalities.”

“After getting approval, when several teachers from the school went to her home on Saturday, they saw that she was studying,” Patel said.

Mubashira’s family is facing financial problems, so schoolteachers gave immediate help, the principal said. “After this, all the schools in our H ward took the initiative and gave her financial help.”
