Subway India Sponsors a date for couples, have a look

A few days ago, a Twitter user revealed how her partner apologised after a fight and surprised her with a Subway sandwich. 

The viral post caught the attention of Subway India’s Twitter handle, which announced that they would fund the couple’s next date if their post received 1,000 likes. 

Internet users took it as a challenge, and the original post received more than 6,500 likes in three days.

Keeping their promise, Subway India sponsored the couple’s date today and tweeted a gorgeous photo of them holding hands and eating a Subway sandwich. 

”There you go,” reads the caption of the Subway post.

It all started when a guy apologised to his girlfriend with a Subway sandwich and a message that said, “A sub for you because tum hi ho mera SUB kuch.” The woman, evidently moved by the gesture, posted a photo of the note on Twitter with the caption, ”My bf and I had a fight, so this is what he did.”

Subway referenced the viral tweet and promised, “1000 likes, and we will sponsor a date for these cuties.”

Twitter users praised the firm for keeping its promise, while others called it a cunning marketing strategy. Others asked the company to fund such dates for them as well. 

Reacting to the picture, one user remarked, ”Now you’ve got to fund my next date (rare chance). Also, how many likes/RTs does it take for a single person like me to get a lifetime supply of Subs?”
