For its Android app, it is now testing the same thing, so users will now have a simplified way to back up local data to their Spotify account.

Jane Manchun Wong, who posted a screenshot of its new test on Spotify’s Android app, noticed this feature. Under the configuration menu, the new functionality will be available as ‘Import’.
Here, users will have a “show device files” option that will make all of the device’s audio files available in your library. If they really want their local files in their Spotify library, users can turn to this option.
For users who have songs that are not available on Spotify, that this will be a great choice. Users won’t have to shuffle to listen to songs through numerous applications, and also find all of them in one spot.
Downloaded songs available for Desktop only:
Spotify allows downloaded songs to be imported, but only from its desktop app. This, too, is limited to Spotify Premium users only.

You should follow these steps before Spotify rolls out this feature on Android to upload local files from its desktop app.
-On Spotify, open the settings tab.
-To find local data, scroll down and toggle on Display Local Files.
-To pick a folder from your PC, click ‘ADD A SOURCE’.
-Build a new playlist now as well as add all your local files.
-On iOS or Android, activate the Spotify app while still on the same Wi-Fi connection.
-Go to the setup and toggle on ‘local audio files’.
-Then download all your local files from the playlist.
