The inconsistent Indian Cricket team is not a good sign for cricket.

Indian Cricket is going through a rough time. The poor form continues of top players. It is high time to think beyond KLRahul. This is a poor selection of teams, with players like Kohli not performing, and inconsistent is a big worry. 

Poor Selection:

Indian cricket is seeing its lowest point after a long gap. The Virat Kohli era was sound in every format. Everyone thought Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid’s era would take India to new highs, but everything had fallen apart severely. The reason behind this low point is the poor selection of players. Many players, even after getting failed, are taken in the team. 

Time to take a decision on KLRahul:

It’s high time to rest some players like KLRahul. You can’t give him the entire season. Pant not in recent ODIs vs Bangladesh was also a poor decision. Rishabh is good in ODI and tests. His calibre is under scanner in T20s, but you cannot put the question on the other two formats. 

Mr consistent to inconsistent Virat Kohli:

Virat Kohli’s inconsistent form is also a big worry. He has been the most significant match-winner in the last decade with Rohit Sharma. Now both need to be able to deliver at a consistent rate. Is age becoming a factor for both of them? Kohli still needs to improve at his best. Yes, he played some good innings in the past few months, but he has failed, too, in many crunch matches. We have seen Kohli plays for the entire season. That’s why he came on the great player’s list. Seeing Rohit Sharma and Kohli play in patches is terrible news for India. 

Indian coach Rahul Dravid and Selection committee, needs to take some harsh decisions. ODI Worldcup 2023 is in just one year, and the team is passing through the worst time. No pace bowler, no good spinner and worst is top order is failing in most matches.
