CEO of the Public Transport Agency Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan stated:

Motorists detected using the lane are fined Dh600. A distinctive red colour with pavement labelling of buses was provided to the lane to guide road users as well as prevent the bus-taxi strip from being used accidentally. Signs were mounted together with light signals also at the start and centre of the road.
Further, Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan stated:
Bahrozyan said, “This lane, which comprises Phase III of the Dedicated Bus as well as Taxi Lane Project, spreads from Al Mina St junction to a stage just before Zabeel Street junction, 4.3 km for both locations of Khalid Bin Al Waleed St.”

The Authority has previously completed the development of dedicated bus roads that cover sections of Naif Street (1 km) extending 7.3 km; stretches of Al Ittihad Road (500 m); Al Mankhool Street (1800 m through Al Satwa R/A to Sheikh Rashid Road); Al Mina Street (1700 m from Kuwait Street towards the Falcon intersection); Al Khaleej Street (1700m to Al Musalla Street from Creek Street); Al Ghubaiba Street (500m from Al-Mina Street intersection to Street 12); Khalid bin Al Waleed Road (100m to 16th Street from Al-Mina Street Intersection).
