Old MacBook holders facing this Problem: 

It looks like those who own older MacBooks, especially the late 2013 and 2014 13-inch MacBook Pro models are a huge number of users facing this Problem.

However, precisely how many consumers of those models have been impacted is not clear. Also, these are the oldest Big Sur-supported MacBook models.
