The Samsung Galaxy A31 is reportedly receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update in Russia. The smartphone, released in March 2020, initially came with the Android 10-based One UI. The new update will include a redesigned user interface with a color palette, improved stock applications, and other improvements. In April of last year, the Samsung device received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update, and it is currently scheduled to receive biannual security updates.
According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy A31 has begun receiving the Android 12 update. And the South Korean company’s One UI 4.1 in Russia. According to the report, the new update is expected to reach users in more countries in the coming days. However, there are no details on when the update will be available to Indian users.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy A31 Android 12 update
The Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy A31 will bring several new features to the mid-range smartphone. The update includes the April 2022 Security Patch, which addresses over 80 privacy and security flaws. It also installs the firmware A315FXXU1DVD8 on the Samsung device. Along with the security patch, the update includes a redesigned user interface with a Color Palette feature and improved stock applications.
Along with cosmetic and security updates to the user interface, the update also improves privacy and performance.
The Samsung Galaxy should automatically update to Android 12. But if it hasn’t. You can manually update it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and Install.
