For this project, 250 acres of land was allotted in Sanand of Ahmedabad as well as Rajkot.
Gujarat contributes only 1% to the country’s toy industry.
In the last two to three years, many big projects have been set up in Gujarat. Especially due to the Statue of Unity and the Motera Stadium, Gujarat has created a distinct identity not only in the country but also abroad. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s unique railway station at Gandhinagar.
Then there is the discussion of one more big project. Preparations are underway to build a toy park for Rs 2,500 crore in Sanand or Rajkot in Gujarat, where international quality toys will be made for children.
The Toy Park will employ 30,000 people. The
The Gujarat government has also allotted 250 acres of land at Sanand in Ahmedabad and Rajkot for the project, where the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation will set up a toy park.
The park will have separate games for children, as well as imported toys. Once the toy park is ready, it could generate a business of Rs 10,000 crore and employ around 30,000 people. So far, about 80% of toys in India have been imported from China. Still, the corona has led to a decline in imports, with the country now becoming self-sufficient and developing the toy industry in India.
If we talk about the current situation in Gujarat, which is far behind in the toy industry, then Gujarat is far behind other states in the toy industry. Gujarat contributes barely 1 per cent of the total toy industry in the country, so the state government is making efforts to take the toy industry further in Gujarat.
The toy industry is the largest in China worldwide. Still, since the Corona period, many countries have reduced or even closed their trade with China, attracting this foreign company to invest in India. Especially in Gujarat, with facilities ranging from raw materials to ports, foreign investors may be attracted to invest here.
