Candidates who appeared on Saturday for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 were given special certificates allowing them to fly on the day due to the national blockade.

However, GATE will kick off at 9.30 am on the same day and take place in two morning and afternoon sessions. GATE is an entrance examination for admissions to masters as well as PhD programs at technology institutes including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) as well as the Indian Institutes of Science (IIT) for undergraduate students as well as graduates (IISc).
The GATE score is indeed a qualifier for public sector ongoing placements. To obtain financial assistance from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government scholarships/assistantships, preparing for the exam is also necessary.
As Subhasis Chaudhuri, IIT Bombay’s owner stated:
A special certificate has been prepared by the GATE 2021 office asking all concerned to enable you to pass through every blockade you may encounter on your way. All those who have the exam mostly on 6th have been sent these certificates by email (February). Please take a copy of these documents as well as bring it with you when you are travelling,’ says Subhasis Chaudhuri, IIT Bombay’s owner, who is organizing the exam this year.
Organizing chairman and professor of IIT Bombay Deepankar Choudhury stated:
“Although the instructions’ point 12 already states in the admit card which admit card could be used as a movement pass throughout the event of any restrictions, to add towards that this additional support letter is provided to whom it may relate, both in English as well as Hindi to simplify the movement of candidates to their examination locations,” informed Deepankar Choudhury, organizing chairman and professor of IIT Bombay.
Chaudhuri stated aspirants through social media message:
The afternoon session occurs between 3 pm and 6 pm, while the first session is between 9.30 am as well as 12.30 pm. Given the likelihood of a transport blockade on 6 February, all GATE applicants are expected to arrive well in advance at the examination centre.
“In case you need to reach much earlier or reach home late, please carry enough food and water,” Chaudhuri told aspirants through a social media message.
