Speaking to the UN General Assembly on September 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to concentrate on India’s goals as a Security Council member during 2021-22 as well as the promotion of global action toward terrorism; people are familiar with the development said on Friday.

India would also concentrate on inclusive and sustainable global peace and security strategies, an effective response to global terrorism,’NORMS’ or the New Orientation for a Revamped Multilateral Framework, technology for all, and the streamlining of UN peacekeeping operations, they added.
As one of the largest contributing troop countries, India will aim to intensively participate in the finalisation of the mandates of UN peacekeeping missions, “the above-mentioned individual said.
“The theme of the 75th United Nations General Assembly is “The future we want, the United Nations we need, reaffirming our mutual commitment to multilateralism through constructive multilateral action, challenging Covid-19.”
They also indicated that India would continue its commitment to sustainable development and climate change issues, support the country’s position as a provider of health services, and highlight its contribution to the global cooperation against Covid-19 in the form of assistance to even more than 150 countries.
India will also focus on its position as a South-South development partner, in particular within the framework of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund, and affirm its commitment to the SDG 17 Global Partnership, including climate change.
