Kohli and Sharma Return to ODI Action Against South Africa

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Team India’s former captains, are set to make their much-awaited on-field return after a month-long absence. Both players have been away from competitive cricket since October 25, following their participation in the ODI series against Australia. Indian cricket enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for these two legends to resume their ODI duties for the national team.

South Africa ODI Series: The Comeback

The dynamic duo will return to action during the ODI series against South Africa, which begins on November 30. The three-match ODI series is scheduled across three venues: Ranchi (November 30), Raipur (December 3), and Vizag (December 6), with all matches commencing at 1:30 PM IST. This series marks the beginning of Kohli and Sharma’s comeback journey in international cricket. South Africa’s tour of India also includes two Test matches and a five-match T20I series, running from November 14 to December 19.

Performance in Australia and Upcoming Fixtures

During their last series in Australia, Virat Kohli demonstrated resilience by scoring an unbeaten 74 in the third ODI after struggling in the opening matches. Rohit Sharma was the standout performer, accumulating 202 runs across the series with a brilliant unbeaten 121 in the final ODI. Looking ahead, both players will also participate in three home ODIs against New Zealand in January 2026, scheduled for January 11, 14, and 18 in Vadodara, Rajkot, and Indore, respectively. These fixtures will be crucial preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
