Kohli’s Heartwarming Gesture for Sarfaraz Steals the Show at Chinnaswamy

In a high-voltage IPL encounter at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru cruised to a commanding 43-run victory over Chennai Super Kings. But beyond the scorecard, it was a quiet moment of sportsmanship from Virat Kohli that captured hearts across the cricketing world.

As CSK batter Sarfaraz Khan made his way back to the pavilion after a blistering knock, Kohli called out to him through the roar of the crowd. When Sarfaraz turned around, Kohli met him with warm applause and a thumbs-up — a simple yet powerful acknowledgment of a courageous innings played in the most difficult of circumstances.

Sarfaraz’s Blazing Fifty Couldn’t Save the Chase

CSK had found themselves in serious trouble early, reduced to 30 for 3 within the first three overs of their chase of 251. Sarfaraz responded with fearless counter-attacking cricket, racing to a 25-ball fifty and helping CSK reach 77 at the powerplay. However, he was stumped off Krunal Pandya by Jitesh Sharma on the very first ball after the powerplay, ending a vital partnership at the worst possible moment.

RCB’s Batting Masterclass Sets the Platform

Earlier, RCB built a formidable total of 250 for 3. Kohli and Phil Salt laid a solid foundation before Devdutt Padikkal played a fluent half-century. The innings reached explosive heights when skipper Rajat Patidar and Tim David combined for an extraordinary 99-run partnership off just 35 balls.

CSK never recovered from the early blows by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jacob Duffy, eventually folding for 207 in 19.4 overs — their third consecutive defeat of the season. RCB, meanwhile, celebrated both a thumping win and a moment of pure cricketing grace.
