Watch Babil as a school Student in Friday Night Plan trailer

Last year, Babil Khan made a major debut in Anvita Dutt’s psychological thriller Qala. Now, he’s back on Netflix India with a slice-of-life film, Vatsal Neelkanthan’s Friday Night Plan.

The clip, released Monday morning, depicts Babil as a school student connecting with his brother and attending a Friday night party in his mother’s absence.

Babil in Friday Night Plan:

Babil appears in the trailer as a typical school child. He’s a frontbencher who gains the entire school’s attention after scoring a goal in a football game.

He loves all the female attention and agrees to attend a ‘Friday night plan’ at a schoolmate’s house.

Juhi Chawla plays the role of Mother:

Juhi Chawla plays Babil’s mother. She informs Babil and his brother that she will be gone on a Friday night and wonders whether they can survive without her for a day. They immediately nod, eager to attend the ‘Friday night plan.’

Throughout the trailer, Babil and Amrith Jayan, who plays his brother, are seen arguing and bonding with one another.

They appear to be opposites: whereas Babil is an escape artist, his brother frequently causes havoc for him and his mother to clean up.

Excel Entertainment, the producer of the movie:

Excel Entertainment, which Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani own, produces Friday Night Plan. The banner has previously supported iconic films about brotherhood and friendship, including Farhan’s 2001 directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai, Zoya Akhtar’s 2011 buddy road movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Farhan’s upcoming all-female buddy road movie Jee Le Zaraa, starring Katrina Kaif, Ali Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra.

Excel Entertainment has also recently produced two series for Prime Video India, Dahaad and Zoya, a police procedural starring Reema Kagti, and Made in Heaven Season 2. Both projects were funded by Zoya and Reema’s Tiger Baby Films.
