Watch how a man harrases woman on Mumbai local train
A lady was allegedly sexually bothered by a man on a Mumbai local train on Friday (June 23). A complaint was registered after she went to the police on Wednesday.
A 24-year-old female was allegedly sexually harassed by an unidentified guy on a local train here, police confirmed. The incident occurred between Charni Road and Grant Road stations of the Western Railway on the evening of June 23, said a police officer on Thursday.
The lady went to the Railway Police with a complaint on Wednesday, five days after, he said.
A First Information Report was recorded under Indian Penal Code sections 354-A (physical harassment) at the Mumbai Central Railway.

The lady boarded the Churchgate-bound local at the Charni Road station. As it came to the Grant Road station, the man made vulgar gestures at her and used foul language before getting down, as per her FIR.
Police have recognised a suspect, the officer said, adding that investigation was on.
Before this month, a 20-year-old female was allegedly physically assaulted by a man in the ladies compartment of a running Mumbai local train while travelling alone.
The incident took place on June 14 morning when the woman, a citizen of Girgaon in Mumbai, was going towards Belapur in Navi Mumbai, where she was considered to appear for a test. Police subsequently detained a 40-year-old man for the crime.
