Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan checked on the Covid-19 circumstance in “11 states of worry” on Tuesday. He ascribed the flood in contaminations to huge scope weddings, neighbourhood body races and ranchers’ fights. 

The Centre has categorised states of grave concern:

The Center has sorted Maharashtra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as “conditions of grave worry” because of rising everyday cases and higher day by day passings.

As the Union Health Minister stated:

Tending to a video meeting with state wellbeing clergymen, the pastor said: “This is an occasion driven flood on account of huge scope weddings, nearby body decisions and ranchers’ dissent.” 

Further, The Union Health Minister added:

“These states have been detailing skyscraper in day by day cases and day by day mortality due to Covid-19 over the most recent fourteen days. 

These 11 states together contributed 54% of the complete cases and 65% of the all-out passings in the country, with a lopsidedly high number of passings in Maharashtra and Punjab,” he added. 

Health Minister conducted meetings with other state Health Ministers.

The Union Health Minister on the rising Covid-19 cases:

On Tuesday, India added a record 115,320 new cases to take its general count of cases to 11,789,781; 630 individuals passed on from Covid-19 on Tuesday. Of these, Maharashtra finished off with 55,469, trailed by Chhattisgarh (9,921). 

A high test inspiration rate of about 25% has been accounted for from Maharashtra and 14% from Chhattisgarh. 

He brought up that since February 2021, these states have seen a precarious expansion in cases, a dominant part of which has been accounted for among individuals between the ages of 15 and 44.

The minister also appreciated states for increase the number of Covid-19 testing:

The minister likewise valued how states were attempting to build the quantity of Covid-19 testing; however, he advised against the high quick antigen testing extent in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. 

He guaranteed to help the states in containing the spread of the infection. “The Center has been and will keep on supporting the States and UTs through all potential recourses to battle the worldwide pandemic. 

While the cases are on the ascent since the previous few weeks, the public combined casualty rate has become 1.30% now,” he said.
