Farmers have protested towards the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020, and The Farmers’ (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Farm Services Agreement, on the borders of the national capital Delhi.
Although the government has declined to abolish these laws, the steps announced throughout the budget might help change the dynamics between farmers and the government.

Also, the government’s first forecasts indicate that the agricultural sector is expected to rise by 3.4% throughout the present fiscal year.
Here are some of the changes that might form part of its 2021 Union Budget:
1. As the government intends to double farmers’ incomes by 2022, it could be increased by Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, through which farmers get 6,000 in three similar instalments throughout a financial year.
2. As the government plans to raise farmers’ incomes, the primary emphasis would also be on the growth of infrastructure and the allocation of funds for it. In the 2021 Union Budget, allocations for projects such as the National Food Security Mission and PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana were also expected to raise.
3. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Jobs Guarantee Act (MNREGA), which were also a huge employment choice throughout the disease outbreak due to restricted employment opportunities outside of the agricultural sector, would also immediately increase agriculture as well as allied sectors and rather than PM-Kisan, a further scheme that could help in it could be providing additional money to rural populations.
