Ankush, Bali’s son, revealed that his father had Myasthenia gravis.

Arun Bali, best known for his roles in Swabhimaan also the blockbuster 3 Idiots, died on Friday morning at his home in suburban Mumbai. He was 79. Ankush, Bali’s son, said his father had Myasthenia gravis. An autoimmune disease characterised by nerve and muscle communication failure, for which he was admitted to a hospital earlier this year. Ankush stated that his father responded well to the treatment but died around 4.30 a.m.

“My father abandoned us. Myasthenia gravis was the diagnosis.

For two to three days, he experienced mood swings. He told the caretaker he needed to use the restroom, and when he came out. He told him he needed to sit down, and he never got up again “He told PTI that.

Bali made his acting debut as superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s uncle in noted filmmaker Lekh Tandon’s T.V. show Doosra Keval.
