Applicants will be able to register on the job
portal launched by Delhi CM Kejriwal will be free of cost.
On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind
Kejriwal launched
a job portal which helps the traders, businessmen, and industrialists with the
job-seeking persons. Kejriwal said that the portal – jobs.delhi.gov.in – will serve as a “Rozgar Bazar” for job aspirants and help businesses in the
recruitment process without any charges. In a virtual press briefing, CM
Kejriwal said,” There are people who want jobs and there are traders.
Businessmen, professionals, contractors, who are not getting the right people
for their work. This portal will fill this gap by bringing them together on one
platform.”
Massive response for Rozgar

The AAP chief also admitted that many people have lost their jobs along with businesses who have faced huge losses, due to the novel COVID-19 pandemic. In the first six hours of its launch, the website attracted a massive response, with 51,043 job aspirants registering. A Delhi government statement revealed that a total of 1071 employers posted 18,585 vacancies on the newly-launched job portal.
Kejriwal appeals to the people
of Delhi to revive the economy:
Kejriwal also said that a
special order will be issued by the Delhi government that will allow street
vendors to start work immediately. The Delhi CM also noted that those migrant workers who
had left the national capital during the complete lockdown have started
returning. He stated,” I want to appeal to the people of Delhi to
please come together and take steps to improve the condition of the economy of
Delhi. I want to appeal to traders, industrialists, professionals, industry
associations, market associations, business associations, and NGOs, media, and
government organizations in Delhi, let’s come together and take all measures to
improve the economy of Delhi.”
