The Asus ROG Phone 6 may have the same battery capacity and charging speed as the ROG Phone from last year.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 specifications leaked just days before the official launch. The new ROG Phone will reportedly have a 165Hz OLED display and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In addition, the gaming phone is expected to be unveiled alongside three new accessories from the Taiwanese company. The ROG Phone 6 will be the successor to last year’s ROG Phone 5.
On Twitter, tipper Mukul Sharma shared the alleged specifications of the Asus ROG . Unfortunately, the information was released a few weeks before the gaming phone’s official launch on July 5.
Specifications for the Asus ROG Phone
According to the source, the Asus ROG will have a 6.78-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. This is an improvement over the ROG Phone 5, which had the same 6.78-inch display but a 144Hz refresh rate. In addition, the ROG Phone 6 also has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Up to 18GB of RAM, also up to 1TB of internal storage.
The ROG Phone 5 also had up to 18GB of RAM but a maximum internal storage capacity of 512GB. Furthermore, the new gaming phone is said to run Android 12, an upgrade over the Android 11. That was available on the ROG Phone 5 at the time of its launch.
On the ROG Phone 6, Asus is expected to include a 64-megapixel primary camera with improved optics and optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The improvements, however, have yet to be revealed. However, it is worth noting that the ROG Phone 5 also included a 64-megapixel primary camera.
