BJP candidates elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Gujarat

There were four empty Rajya Sabha seats in the state, and as many nominees, all of the ruling BJP had filed their nomination documents.

Unanimous Victory:

BJP president J P Nadda and three additional candidates from the party secured unopposed victories in the Rajya Sabha elections held in Gujarat. 

With four vacant seats available, all four BJP candidates submitted their nomination papers, facing no opposition from other parties.

Declaration of Results:

Returning Officer Reeta Mehta officially declared the BJP candidates, including J P Nadda, elected unopposed to the Upper House of Parliament. 

As no other contenders submitted nomination papers for the elections in Gujarat, the victory of the BJP candidates was confirmed without contest.

Conclusion of Nomination Process:

The conclusion of the nomination withdrawal period on Tuesday marked the final step in the Rajya Sabha election process. 

With no opposing candidates, the victory of J P Nadda and the other BJP nominees was assured, solidifying their positions as representatives in the Upper House.

Elected Candidates:

In addition to J P Nadda, the three other candidates elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat were Govindbhai Dholakia, Jasvantsinh Parmar, and Mayank Nayak. With their unopposed victories, these BJP leaders will now serve as members of the prestigious Upper House of Parliament.
