Ahmedabad Railway Station Redevelopment: According to Union Railway Minister, 199 stations with a daily footfall of 50 lakh will be redevelop in the first phase.
Ahmedabad Railway Station: Redevelopment of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway stations in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, also Mumbai has been approve by the Union Cabinet, Information also Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur announced on Wednesday. The iconic design features a massive arch inspired by the Modhera sun temple and sun-themed architecture throughout the station.
The new iconic towers and arch will serve as a new landmark for Ahmedabad.

In the first phase, he said, 199 stations with a daily footfall of 50 lakh are plan to be redevelop.
While the tender for 47 stations is out, work on 32 stations is already underway. According to Vaishnav, who added that the goal is to complete the redevelopment of the New Delhi station in three and a half years. He estimates that the other two railway stations will be redevelop in two and a half years.
According to the railway minister, the design will include a large roof plaza with all passenger amenities in one location and retail, cafeterias, also recreational facilities.
These cities’ stations will be link on both sides of the railway tracks. Vaishnav added that facilities such as a food court, waiting lounge. Children’s play area, also a place to sell local products would be available.
