However, just hours before service, they learned that the Prime Minister would be fasting and unable to eat the prepared dinner. Chef Kapoor recalled the commotion: “Suddenly we had to cook the food for fasting with just a few hours left. Anyway, we somehow managed.”

Despite these rapid-fire changes, Chef Kapoor’s team delivered an exceptional vegetarian spread featuring Lucknowi, Bengali, Chettinad, and Assamese cuisines, complemented by dishes like Tandoori Lamb Chops, Moti Khass Biryani, and Zafrani Thandai.
