Choices you make sometimes, don’t come off’-Virat Kohli.

The Indian Premier League meeting of Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Kings XI Punjab on Thursday dropped down to the last ball.

Ultimately, to win the game for Punjab, it took a six off Nichols Pooran’s bat to chasing down the target of 172 in 20 overs.

After winning the toss, the RCB had decided to bat first, but there was an unexpected shift in the batting order that raised some eyebrows.

AB de Villiers to bat at no 6:

The hero of RCB’s innings was forced down the batting lineup against KKR AB de Villiers to bat at no. 6. The Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube, below. After encountering 5 balls, De Villiers can not put on his best get-out on 2.

Kohli on sending de Villiers at number 6:

Kohli was questioned after the match about the strategy to send De Villiers to lower the batting lineup. The RCB captain said in his answer that it was a decision he made that did not pay off.

We had a chat. that was a message about both the left-hand, right-hand combination (AB batting at no.6). These choices you make, sometimes, don’t come off. But I feel 170 was a decent score, “Kohli said at the presentation ceremony after the match.

Kohli on RCB bowlers:

Furthermore, the RCB captain said that after the bowling attack, the message to Sundar and Dube was to go and hit big shots. That’s the idea of getting your eye in and beginning to strike.

But we couldn’t put them under pressure. As a bowling site, we take a lot of pride, but tonight was one of those nights because it didn’t come off,’ Kohli said.

RCB skipper Kohli, speaking about the defeat, said: “A few positive things from the game.” To be frank, there was no talk between Yuzi (Chahal) and me. To be frank, things have become interesting.

They kind of let us go back to the game because I guess it was supposed to be over by the 18th.

On Saturday, RCB will next face off against the Rajasthan Royals.
