Christopher Nolan’s movie Tenet has been delayed for the third time as movie Theatres remain closed spiking COVID cases in the US.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, in a further blow to the nation’s movie theatre chains that were hoping to get back to business. The release of Christopher Nolan’s movie Tenet was delaying indefinitely, the Warner Bros said on Monday.

He added, “Unfortunately the pandemic continues to proliferate causing us to re-evaluate our release dates,” Warner Bros. “We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet,” pictures group chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement. Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Dimple Kapadia.

Because of the coronavirus, the big-budget movie’s decision marked the third time the release date has been changed. It was initially due for release on Jul 17, then switched to Jul 31, and later to Aug 12.

Borrowing funds to stay afloat and laying off tens of thousands of employees, the movie theater business has been finished by the Pandemic shutdowns.

Including India, many nations have shut down theatres. Extra cleaning, face masks for guest and workers, safeguard as limited attendance, US’s chains AMC Entertainment, Cinemark and Cineworld’s Regal Cinemas were scheduled to be back in business on Jul 31.

As coronavirus cases and deaths have spiked again, the cities have not given the green light to the two biggest markets in the United States of New York and Los Angeles.

Walt Disney’s live-action Mulan is currently on the calendar for Aug 21.
