CJP Team Chased Away by Villagers at Rajasthan School

A visit by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and his team to a government school in Rajasthan’s Rampura Kanwarpura village turned tense on Friday, after local residents gathered at the site and reportedly forced the group to leave.

Villagers Confront CJP Workers

Footage from the location captured residents blocking CJP members as they tried to enter the school compound. The visit was part of the party’s broader drive to inspect government schools across the state and spotlight gaps in infrastructure and basic amenities. CJP worker Shivangi Sharma claimed that team members were confronted and branded “terrorists” and “Naxals” by locals. She pushed back against the opposition, arguing the volunteers were not outsiders and were simply advocating for children’s welfare nationwide.

Villagers, however, maintained that the school already had adequate resources — citing a sanctioned amount of roughly Rs 12 lakh — and was capable of completing its construction work independently, without CJP’s involvement. Several residents also voiced open disagreement with the party’s overall approach and ideology.

Backdrop of New School Access Rules

The clash comes shortly after Rajasthan’s Education Department tightened rules on outsider entry, photography, and live-streaming inside schools, citing child safety and privacy concerns — a move that followed CJP’s “School Thik Karo” campaign.

Facing pushback, the CJP team initially rerouted its schedule to a different school in Beelwa. Ranka and his colleagues later returned to Rampura Kanwarpura, where they found an even larger crowd of villagers had assembled, reigniting tensions at the site.
