COVID-19 is still lethal says PM Modi in Mann Ki Baat’s latest episode.

Remembering the war heroes on Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Modi also cautioned the people of the Coronavirus’ rapid spread.

Addressing the nation on Mann Ki Baat, his monthly radio show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the novel COVID-19 virus is spreading faster and its threat is high as ever. PM Modi said that all those who feel tired and frustrated to wear a mask, simply think & remember the COVID warriors and their contribution in the battle against the Coronavirus. The Prime Minister urged everyone to continue maintaining social distancing and cover their faces with masks.

PM Modi says Coronavirus is not over yet:

PM Modi said,” Today, the COVID-19 recovery rate in our country is better than others. Our fatality rate is much less than most of the other countries. We managed to save the lives of lakhs of people, but the threat of coronavirus is not over yet. It is spreading fast in many areas; we need to remain vigilant.” PM Modi also lauded the extraordinary efforts of villages and also shed light on the various administrative and innovative efforts being implemented in villages. He also expressed solidarity with all those affected by the heavy rainfall and flooding across India.

PM Modi pays a tribute to 1999 Kargil War heroes:

Speaking on the Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Modi made a sly dig on Pakistan and recalled the valour during the Kargil War in 1999 of the Indian armed forces . PM Modi stated,” 21 years ago, on this day, our army won the Kargil War. India was then trying to have cordial relations with Pakistan but is said that it is in the nature of the wicked to have enmity with everyone for no reason.”

PM Modi again highlighted the need of being “Vocal for Local” and thanked the Indian entrepreneurs for their efforts to make products in India.
