Rabada Hattrick, Stoinis all-round performance and Gabbar’s brilliant 78runs helped DC enter in finals first time in IPL History.
Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Qualifier two played at Abu Dhabi. In form SRH today were smashed all around the park by Delhi Capitals batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan Gabbar showed his class, and he was supported by Stoinis Hetmyer which helped DC reach 189runs in 20 overs.
Stoinis and Dhawan started the inning for DC, and both gave a brilliant start. Only Rashid Khan bowled well for SRH remaining all bowlers gave away runs in starting. Yes SRH bowlers did well in last few overs, Natrajan bowled good last over to limit DC below 200. DC once looked like they will cross 200 easily, but they were 10 to 15runs short and finished at 189runs.
SRH lost early wickets, and that too of big one Warner inform batsman got out in first over, it was a big set back for SRH team. Garg and Pandey batted well for few overs, but both got out in stoinis over.
Once again match came on the shoulders of holder and Williamson, this time target was big, and bowlers of DC too were bowling. Holder and Williamson did a small partnership but not good enough to trouble DC.
Williamson kept SRH hopes alive with Samad. 14th over of Nortje was an over where it looked like SRH are back in-game, because in that over Samad smashed Nortje for 16runs. DC bowlers started well, but after 10th all DC bowlers lost and line and length.
In last 4overs match was evenly balanced 4overs and SRH needed 51runs. Stoinis once again struck for DC and this time it was well-set Williamson who was looking extremely dangerous. Kane Williamson batted brilliantly for his 67runs. Stoinis was a game-changer for DC today gave a good start in batting and took three crucial wickets at an important time.
Ashwin bowled 18th over for DC poor decision by Shreyas Iyer. Rashid Khan smashed him for 11runs. Last two over SRH needed 31runs, Samad was looking dangerous with Rashid Khan. Abdul Samad played a good knock of 33runs of 16balls. Rabada took Hattrick Samad, Rashid Khan and Goswami on three consecutive deliveries after went for six. The match was then shifted to DC corner, and first time DC enter in IPL finals.
Today DC were lucky as Gabbar got his form back smashed good 78runs for the team. Stoinis was outstanding and Rabada, in the end, took hattrick, which helped DC won the second Qualifier.
Now it will be battle of Rabada vs Bumrah, Dhawan vs Rohit, Stoinis vs Hardik Pandya and Pollard, Patel vs Pandya. Yes MI are favourites, but DC is strong team and form of Rabada, Dhawan and Stoinis can help DC win there first IPL Title. Well, that we will see IPL 2020 finals. One thing is a sure team who will control their nerve and play positively win this title of IPL 2020.
