On Wednesday, the Delhi air terminal tweeted that it will begin irregular Covid-19 testing of travellers showing up from states where the high number of instances of the disease have been accounted for. However, minutes after the fact, the tweet was erased. 

Delhi airport stated in the deleted tweet:

“According to the most recent government order, District Disaster Management Authorities will lead arbitrary Covid-19 testing of travellers coming from states where the cases are rising,” Delhi air terminal said in the presently erased tweet. 

Further stated in the Tweet:

“After an assortment of tests, the voyagers would be permitted to exit. Nonetheless, those discovered positive travellers will be obligatorily isolated according to the convention of service of Health and family government assistance. 

We appreciate you for your collaboration also wish you a protected excursion,” a note going with the tweet said further. 

The Delhi air terminal posted the tweet on its authority handle on Wednesday.

Delhi reported 992 cases of Covid-19:

Delhi detailed 992 instances of Covid-19 on Tuesday (in a 24-hour time frame), and its energy rate remained at 2.70 per cent, as per notice of the state Health office. Four additional individuals surrendered to the microorganism, the notice said. 

Authorities said the low number of cases could be ascribed to fewer tests directed on Monday under Holi. 

The city had recorded 1,904 cases on Monday, the most elevated in around three-and-a-half months. 

AAP to increase testing in the national capital:

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government said that it would build testing in the public capital. “From today, we will build testing to more than 80,000 tests every day. 

Recently, govt requested expanding 220 beds in ICU wards in private clinics for Covid patients. There is simply 25% inhabitance in private and govt medical clinics in Delhi,” health minister Satyendra Jain said. 

Jain dismissed the decision of imposing another lockdown:

A week ago, Jain excused the chance of forcing another lockdown in the city, saying it was anything but an answer to check the spread of the pandemic that is again flooding quickly. 

 The first time the number of cases crossed the 1,000-mark:

In the previous week, Delhi recorded 1,881 cases on Sunday, 1,558 cases on Saturday, 1,534 cases on Friday, 1,515 cases on Thursday, 1,254 cases on Wednesday and 1,101 cases on Tuesday – the first run through since December 24 that the number of cases crossed the 1,000-mark.
