IAF plane Sukhoi-3 and Mirag 2000 crashed in Madhya Pradesh

A massive plane crash of IAF’s Sukhoi-3 and Mirag 2000 occurred in a regular morning training session in Madhya Pradesh today.

During the regular morning training session on Saturday, the 2 Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter planes – Sukhoi-3 and Mirag 2000 crashed in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. 

One pilot has lost his life:

As per the official statement by the Indian Air Force, the pilot of Sukhi 30MKl has been ejected safely, whereas the pilot Mirag 2000 lost his life in the crash.

“The two aircraft involved in the mishap were on a regular operational flying training task. One of the three pilots involved sustained fatal wounds. An inquiry has been asked to resolve the cause of the mishap,” the IAF stated. 

An IAF inquiry will decide that it was a mid-air collision or any other problem.

Defence Minister on the Crash:

As per the sources by the Defence Ministry, the Defence Minister of the Country, Rajnath Singh, was informed about the incident by the air defence staff; he asked for the well-being of the pilots and ordered a better inquiry.

District collector Ankit Asthana on crash:

Morena district collecter Ankit Asthana stated that parts of both the aircraft fell into the Pahargarh area, and some fell in the Bharatpur area of Rajasthan, which borders Madhya Pradesh.

CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan on plane crash:

The MP CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan tweeted, “The News of the IAF plane crash of Sukhoi-3 and Mirag 2000 is very shocking.”
