In the 13th term of the Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians have shown got a glimpse of their championship form. Mumbai struck the state in the tournament after losing the first match meekly to Chennai Super Kings.
In their past three games, they have played magnificently. They may have failed to Royal Challengers Bangalore, but their success in the match raised their fans’ spirits.
Currently, as they take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday, Rohit Sharma and Co. are trying to find the right mix for their playing 11. Let’s take a look at the IPL 2020 match between MI’s Expected XI and SRH:
1 Rohit Sharma: Rohit has come back to form in style and has already accrued two fifties in 4 games. In the most runs list, he is sixth and will look to continue with his excellent form.
2 Chris Lynn: Quinton de Kock was unable to perform consistently in the tournament, so it seems likely Chris Lynn could get a look-in.
3 Suryakumar Yadav: So far, he’s still going to score big in the tournament, but he’s likely to maintain his place as the MI think tank places great faith in him.
4 Ishan Kishan: In his first match of the season, where he hit 99 runs against RCB, the youngster justified his pick. He’s trying to look at proving his worth against SRH.
5 Kieron Pollard: Playing eleven is one of the MI constants. He looked in fine control and accumulated some of his team’s match-winning runs.
6 Hardik Pandya: Hardik has given the final flourish with some meaty blows in the last match against KXIP. Yet viewers are also awaiting the all-rounder’s fireworks.
7 Krunal Pandya: In the game, Krunal is still moving into his own as he only picked up two wickets while scoring a meagre 4 runs. The team hopes Krunal will bring his match-winning style with him.
8 James Pattinson: In MI’s last match, the Australian picked up two wickets and gave away just 28 runs. In the pace strike, he is likely to complement Trent Boult.
9 Rahul Chahar: In the game, the young spinner has managed to impress. In the tournament, he has six wickets and is in contention for the Orange Crown.
10 Jasprit Bumrah: He’s one of the squad sheet’s first names. Bumrah is the master of the assault and, in crunch cases, always bails his squad out. SRH wishes that Bumrah has a day off on Sunday.
11 Trent Boult: The Kiwi pacer came from Delhi Capitals and became a vast choice for MI for wicket-taking. With the fresh ball, Boult is still risky and is economical in the overs of death.
