IPL 2026 Playoff Race: Contenders, Hopefuls, and Teams on the Brink

The IPL 2026 playoff race has entered its most critical stage, with every match capable of reshaping the standings. Historically, 16 points has been the benchmark for safe qualification, and this season looks no different — with Net Run Rate (NRR) likely to separate teams finishing level on points.

The Frontrunners: PBKS, RCB, and SRH Pull Ahead

Punjab Kings have been the tournament’s standout side, riding a seven-match winning streak under Shreyas Iyer. Two wins from four remaining games should seal their spot.
