Kiara Advani Reveals Why She Wanted to Slap Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, October 21: Kiara Advani has opened up about a frustrating moment from the sets of Kabir Singh, admitting she once felt like slapping her co-star Shahid Kapoor. The actor shared the candid anecdote on the chat show Koffee with Karan, leaving host Karan Johar and viewers amused.

Eight Hours Lost to a Shoe Debate

Kiara recalled that it was only her third or fourth day of shooting when she was made to wait eight hours. The delay came from lengthy discussions about which shoes Shahid would wear in the next scene. Her patience tested, she said the thought of slapping him crossed her mind. Johar sided with her, joking that he would have considered the same under similar circumstances.

Kabir Singh, released in 2019, was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. The film is a remake of Vanga’s Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda.

Kiara and Siddharth Expecting Their Second Child

On the personal front, Kiara and her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, are expecting their second child. The couple announced the news on social media on October 7 with a heartwarming photo of their daughter, Saraaya, presenting them with a pair of ivory knitted shoes. Their caption expressed gratitude for being blessed with the “greatest gift.”

The two reportedly fell in love on the set of Shershaah and married in a lavish traditional ceremony in Rajasthan in February 2023. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in June 2025.
