Sunny Deol’s Lord Hanuman First Look Unveiled in Ramayana Spin-Off Teaser

Sunny Deol’s first look as Lord Hanuman from Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming two-part epic Ramayana was unveiled at an event in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The makers also announced a slate of spin-offs set in the world of the ancient epic, signalling that the franchise is meant to grow well beyond its two main films.

Five Spin-Offs Teased for the Ramayana Universe

Producer Namit Malhotra said the goal is not to stop after one or two films, but to begin a long cinematic journey for the story. The team screened a previously unseen video offering a glimpse of what lies ahead. The makers did not clarify whether the spin-offs will be films or web series, but the video confirmed that around five projects are planned. Besides Hanuman, stories centred on Surpanakha, Jatayu, Indrajit and Angad were also teased, giving fans a hint of the expanded world being built.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Deol’s reveal adds to the excitement generated by a series of pre-release events, with audiences now eager for more glimpses of the ensemble cast and the scale of the production.

Release Date and Advance Bookings

The first part of Ramayana is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026. Advance bookings will open on Dussehra, giving audiences early access to tickets ahead of the festive season. The second instalment is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027, completing the two-part saga on the big screen.

With the spin-off plans now public, the makers appear determined to build a larger universe around the Ramayana. Further details on formats, casting and release timelines are expected closer to the film’s debut.
